SX Complete develops beyond the manuals by emphasizing the creative uses of Cubase SX to help you achieve your goal. It is a book for musicians, song-writers and producers, written by a musician/song-writer/producer. Whether weekend hobbyist, aspiring world-beater, or hard-core pro, SX Complete has been written for you.
SX Complete builds on all of the experience and knowledge that went into Making Music with Nuendo, yet gives you a lot more. And all the while it retains the detail necessary for you to achieve mastery of Cubase SX. All designed to help you put the program to creative use.
As well as being a guide, SX Complete is extensively cross-referenced, in a variety of ways. This ensures that it as easy as possible for you to find the information that you need immediately. The intention of this book is to become your studio coffee mat; always by your side - although it is equally at home in the bathroom.
Key commands are referenced throughout the text, not only to assist you in using Cubase SX as efficiently and effectively as possible, but to help etch them into your brain without pain. It is packed with tips and tricks, as well as many gotchas that some might prefer not to mention to you.
Page-numbered cross-referencing is used throughout, linking related topics and furthering you on your path to Cubase wizardry. The text is descriptive, yet encourages you to experiment by providing tips, trick and ideas throughout. Most of these tips and tricks are provided in margin boxes, or highlighted sections, so as not to disturb the detailed descriptions.

What the customers say...
SX Complete is A+++
Phill Boshers
AudioGram Pro, Nashville TN
Thanks for the book. It is a wealth of information to anyone serious
about learning and using Cubase SX.
Don Briggs
The Operations Manual describes what Cubase SX can do. Cubase SX Complete describes how to use it. Those two perspectives are very different.
The Operations Manual focuses on "The zoom operations available are xxxxx and operation A accomplishes this and operation B accomplishes this". The book focuses on "Most people will probably prefer to do A in this way", "I strongly recommend that you take the time to do B because it will save you a lot of time later on" and "Here is a list of the most useful xxx commands".
Cubase SX Complete can be read in 20% of the time it takes to read the Operations Manual and is highly recommended to anyone wanting to use Cubase SX as comprehensively and efficiently as possible. The language is down-to-business and even humorous.
The book is not a DAW beginners' guide. But if you are used to
using DAW software then Cubase SX Complete offers to be your
friendly even-more-expert-than-yourself guide and teach you the
exact things that you need to use the product to it's full potential.

I have owned Nuendo for years and I still
learn something new from this book every time I open it.
It's full of helpful tips and advice on how to make Nuendo
jump through hoops.
Andrew Smith, Music Producer and Lecturer (music software)
Making Music With Nuendo is a must have when working with
this powerful program. Not only does it flesh out the inevitable gaps in the
manufacturer's manual, but it gives you a great alternative mind-set for dealing
with the huge feature set in Nuendo. It has saved my bacon on more than one occasion.
