Cubase tutorial: Cubase SX3 Unleashed is an online and CD-ROM tutorial designed for anyone with aspirations to fully exploit Steinberg's Cubase SX3 audio and MIDI sequencer.

Cubase SX3 Unleashed contains over eight hours of Cubase SX3 instruction that is spread over 117 narrated video tutorials in nineteen chapters.

Topics cover not only the fundamentals of operation, but also many of the advanced features and methods - such as advice on setting up projects, tracking and editing MIDI and audio, and arranging material.

The tools and features required for each area of recording are explained in a practical manner using a series of narrated video tutorials. You will be taken through each subject area, and shown where tools are used, and what functions are available.

Customers who own older CD versions of Cubase SX3 Unleashed can now update to the latest version. should they wish. The current CD version is v1.5 and contains the first 112 tutorials available in the online version. (Note that all tutorials added to the online version are also made available online to CD-only customers.) The price of the update is £12, €17, $25.

The fast track to becoming an expert!
Cubase SX3 Unleashed is not designed specifically for the beginner. It is ideally suited to those with some experience of using a sequencer - any sequencer, and not just one of the versions of Cubase SX. However, we provide two hours of material that covers the fundamentals of Cubase SX3, so a determined beginner - or someone moving to Cubase SX3 from another sequencer - should be able to make very swift progress towards mastering Cubase SX3.

Each narrated tutorial can be run on its own and re-visited at your own pace. Numerous tips are also included to help you speed-up your workflow.

Cubase SX3 Unleashed online is being constantly expanded. Additional tips and tricks and instructional videos are added regularly. CD-ROM-only customers have access to the updates online.

I started with the sections where there were obvious gaps in my knowledge, and found the tutorials to be immediate and accessible with a ton of useful info. After that, I started from the beginning and discovered that, even in features that I thought I understood well, there were tons of new things to discover - from simple workflow enhancements to entirely new approaches.

I am consistently impressed at how Cubase SX3 Unleashed delivers the goods. When I get to an "Aha!" moment, the playback controls allow me to zero in on a passage and really get a handle on what's going on.
